1. With the construction
of the hydroelectric power stations: Itapiranga, Irai,
Itá, Machadinho, Barra Grande, Pai-Querê
and Passo da Cadeia in Alto Uruguay becoming the most
navigable passage.
2. A hidroelectric power
station is being built at Campos Novas in River Canoas,
which also springs in Urubici, at 1.800 m of altitude
- being part of the road of snow, 130 km from Florianópolis.
As river canoas is a tributary of river Uruguay where
we can return to Urubici passing through the municipal
districts of Campos Novos, Brunópolis, Curitibanos,
São José de Cerrito, Ponte Alta, Correia
Pinto, Lages, River Rufino and Otacílio Costa
arriving in the city of Urubici.
3. The extension of the
River Uruguay in Santa Catarina is 500 km; where we
meet River Peperi-Guaçu, navigable in all its
extension for small embarkation. That river makes a
boundary with Argentina and it is totally unpolluted.
The Argentinean side stays intact and it is the humanity's
patrimony called - Argentinean Amazons - being only
200 m above sea level.
In the municipal district of Derrubadas - Rio Grande
do Sul, bordering with Argentina we can find the Falls
of Yucumã, the largest longitudinal fall in the
world at 1.800 m of extension, with falls from 12 to
15 m of height, with a channel depth from 90 to 120
m, located inside the Forest Park of the Turvo with
174 Km2 of virgin forest, through where trails pass
for walkers and horse riders which will fascinate tourists
of all ages.
